Caution

•  When removing the rear seat and taking it out of the vehicle or when entering the vehicle, the work must be performed by two or more people because contact with the surrounding areas of the vehicle could cause scratches and damage.

•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

1.  Remove the head restraints.

2.  When removing the rear seat back (LH), perform the following procedure.

(1)  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

(2)  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Remove the rear buckle (LH). (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Remove the rear center seat belt anchor. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Open the zipper and move hook A in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to disengage hook A and hook B.

5.  Move the rear seat back trim hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and detach the rear seat back trim hooks from the rear seat back frame.

6.  While pressing the top tether anchor cover tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the top tether anchor cover from the rear seat back frame.

7.  While pressing the pole guide tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the pole guide in the direction of arrow (2) and remove the pole guide from the front seat back frame.

8.  Move the armrest hinge cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it. (With center armrest)

9.  Remove the bolt. (With center armrest)

10.  Peel back the rear seat back trim and remove the clip in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure. (With center armrest)

11.  Move the rear seat center armrest in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure. (With center armrest)

12.  Move the rear seat center armrest in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure to remove it.

13.  Remove the screws and remove the retractor cover from the rear seat back frame.

14.  Remove the screw and remove the rear seat belt cover from the rear seat back frame.

15.  Remove the rear seat back pad and rear seat back trim from the rear seat back frame. (See REAR SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL.)

16.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
