REAR SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL

Caution

• When removing the rear seat and taking it out of the vehicle or when entering the vehicle, the work must be performed by two or more people because contact with the surrounding areas of the vehicle could cause scratches and damage.
• When performing the procedure with a rear seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.
1. Remove the head restraints.
2. When removing the rear seat back (LH), perform the following procedure.
- (1) Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

- (2) Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (3) Remove the rear buckle (LH). (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

- (4) Remove the rear center seat belt anchor. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Remove the rear seat back frame. (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Remove the C-rings shown in the figure and remove the rear seat back trim from the rear seat back pad.

Caution

• If a C-ring is damaged when removing or installing the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad, it may not be possible to correctly install the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad. When removing or installing the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
• If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

• The positions and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.
6. While partially peeling back the rear seat back trim, remove the surface fasteners.
7. Remove the rear seat back trim.
