PARKING ASSIST UNIT (ULTRASONIC) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts.

(1)  Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Rear trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Partially peel back the trunk side trim (RH) up to a position where the parking assist unit (ultrasonic) can be removed. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the charge port-electrical supply unit. (See CHARGE PORT-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the bolts and the nut.

6.  While pressing the clip tab in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure, move the clip in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the clip from the body panel.

7.  Remove the parking assist unit (ultrasonic wave) and the bracket as a single unit.

8.  Disconnect the connectors.

9.  Detach the wiring harness clips.

10.  Remove the screws.

11.  Remove the parking assist unit (ultrasonic wave) from the bracket.

12.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
