• When the CAN system is thought to be malfunctioning based on the repair order form and the malfunctioning symptom, perform the CAN system on-board diagnosis according to the determination using the flowchart.

Caution

• If an open circuit is detected, press the connector in the connection direction to verify that there is no looseness or disconnection before disconnecting the related connector for the inspection.

• When disconnecting the connector, verify that there is no damage, deformation, or corrosion of the connector terminals.

• When inspecting the DLC-2, touch it with a paper clip or similar thin pin without directly inserting a tester into the terminal.
