DESCRIPTION

Error signal from auto leveling control module or AFS control module

DETECTION CONDITION
•  Instrument cluster receives the illumination command signal from auto leveling control module or AFS control module continues for 20 s or more.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Auto leveling control module or AFS control module DTC is stored.
•  Auto leveling control module or AFS control module malfunction
•  Instrument cluster malfunction

CONFIRM AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE OR AFS CONTROL MODULE DTC
•  Perform the auto leveling control module or AFS control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY THAT MALFUNCTIONING PART IS AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE OR AFS CONTROL MODULE
•  Clear the DTC from the instrument cluster using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition to ON and wait for 20 s or more.
•  Increase the engine speed more than 500 rpm.
•  Perform the instrument cluster DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the auto leveling control module or AFS control module, then go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 4.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Clear the DTC from the instrument cluster using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition to ON and wait for 20 s or more.
•  Increase the engine speed more than 500 rpm.
•  Perform the instrument cluster DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the instrument cluster, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
4
VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
