BONNET LATCH SWITCH INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Set plate (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Fresh-air duct installation bolt (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

(3)  Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Intake air guide (See INTAKE AIR GUIDE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front combination light (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Shroud upper member (See SHROUD UPPER MEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Crash zone sensor cover (See CRASH ZONE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

3.  Disconnect the bonnet latch switch connector. (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

Note

•  Inspect the continuity when the bonnet is open and closed.

•  If the operation as indicated in the table cannot be verified, replace the bonnet latch.
