Battery voltage low

DETECTION CONDITION
Input voltage from the battery is excessively low
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Short to ground or open circuit in wiring harness between positive battery terminal and auto light/wiper control module terminal A
•  Open circuit in wiring harness between auto light/wiper control module terminal L and body ground
•  METER IG 15 A fuse malfunction
•  Battery malfunction
•  Generator malfunction
•  Auto light/wiper control module malfunction

BATTERY INSPECTION
•  Refer to the battery inspection and inspect the battery.
•  Is the battery normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace or charge the battery, then go to the final step.

FUSE INSPECTION
•  Switch the ignition to off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Remove the METER IG 15 A fuse.
•  Is the fuse normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the METER IG 15 A fuse, then go to the final step.

VERIFY WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL AND AUTO LIGHT/WIPER CONTROL MODULE FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
•  Install the METER IG 15 A fuse.
•  Remove the glove compartment.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Measure the voltage of the auto light/wiper control module terminal A.
•  Is the voltage between B+?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair the related wiring harness, then go to the final step.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN AUTO LIGHT/WIPER CONTROL MODULE AND BODY GROUND
•  Switch the ignition to off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect the auto light/wiper control module connector.
•  Inspect the wiring harness between auto light/wiper control module terminal L and body ground.
―  Open circuit
•  Is the wiring harness normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the wiring harness between the auto light/wiper control module and body ground, then go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Perform the auto light/wiper control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Is DTC B1318 displayed?
Yes
Replace the auto light/wiper control module.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
