1) Connect the scan tool.
2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.
3) Turn ON the ignition switch.
4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is DTC P0219 set at the same time?
Yes
Go to DTC P0219 diagnosis.

No
1) Operate the vehicle while observing the Vehicle Speed parameter on the scan tool. Does the Vehicle Speed parameter display the correct vehicle speed?
Yes
Go to Intermittent conditions of engine.
Refer to "202.Engine 15D.Symptom(RZ4E-TC) intermittent conditions of engine".
No
=>Go to ABS-related DTC check.
1) Observe the ABS related DTC information on the scan tool. Is an ABS-related DTC set?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC diagnosis.
No
=>Go to Vehicle speed signal voltage check.
1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2) Disconnect the EHCU harness connector (C13).
3) Turn ON the ignition switch.
4) Observe the Vehicle Speed parameter on the scan tool while intermittently connecting and disconnecting a test lamp between the vehicle speed signal input circuit (pin 2 of C13) and the battery power supply. Is an arbitrary vehicle speed displayed when the test lamp is connected?

=>Go to EHCU harness connector inspection.
No
=>Go to Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in vehicle speed signal input circuit.
1) Inspect for poor connections at the EHCU harness connector (pin 2 of C13). Is the connection status normal?

No
Repair the connections as necessary.
1) Inspect the vehicle speed signal input circuit between the ECM (pin 19 of C7) and the EHCU (pin 2 of C13) for the following. Is the result normal?

Refer to "LHD Engine Control (RZ4E)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Yes
=>Go to ECM harness connector inspection.
No
Repair the circuit as necessary.
1) Inspect for poor connections at the ECM harness connector (pin 19 of C7). Is the connection status normal?

Repair the connections as necessary.
