DTC B1E10[02] Assistant Door LF Antenna Signal Failure (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. Wireless access module system check

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) Diagnostic system check-Wireless Access Module (Hi-version[Passive Entry and Start System])".

2. Current DTC check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

3) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

4) Close all the doors.

5) Lock and unlock the doors using the electronic key 5 times or more.

6) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Outside handle harness connector inspection.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of wireless access module.

Refer to "229.Security and Locks Control 42D.Symptom intermittent conditions of wireless access module".

3. Outside handle harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the passenger side outside handle harness connector (pins 1 and 5 of D15). Is the connection status normal?

Refer to "LHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Refer to "RHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in external antenna (+) circuit.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in external antenna (+) circuit

1) Inspect the external antenna (+) circuit between the wireless access module (pin 5 of B15) and the passenger side outside handle (pin 5 of D15) for the following. Is the result normal?

  • Open circuit
  • High resistance
  • Short to ground
  • Short to another antenna circuit

Yes

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in external antenna (-) circuit.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in external antenna (-) circuit

1) Inspect the external antenna (-) circuit between the wireless access module (pin 25 of B15) and the passenger side outside handle (pin 1 of D15) for the following. Is the result normal?

  • Open circuit
  • High resistance
  • Short to ground
  • Short to another antenna circuit

Yes

Replace the outside handle.

=>Go to Current DTC follow-up check.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Current DTC follow-up check

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

3) Close all the doors.

4) Lock and unlock the doors using the electronic key 5 times or more.

5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Wireless access module replacement.

No

=>Go to Repair verification.

7. Wireless access module replacement

Note

  • After replacing the wireless access module, programming must be performed.
