DTC B1089[A2] Battery Voltage Low (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

Note

  • A deteriorated battery may cause this DTC to be set.

1. Wireless access module system check

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) Diagnostic system check-Wireless Access Module (Hi-version[Passive Entry and Start System])".

2. Charging system inspection

1) Inspect the charging system. Is the result normal?

=>Go to Ground circuit inspection.

No

Repair as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

3. Ground circuit inspection

1) Inspect the ground circuit between the wireless access module (pin 32 of B14) and the body ground for high resistance. Is the result normal?

Refer to "LHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Wireless access module harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Wireless access module harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the wireless access module harness connector (pin 32 of B14). Is the connection status normal?

Refer to "LHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Refer to "RHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Wireless access module replacement.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Wireless access module replacement

Note

  • After replacing the wireless access module, programming must be performed.

Procedure completion

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Repair verification

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

3) Close all doors and press the outside handle request switch.

4) Turn ON the ignition switch.

5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
