DTC U0126[00] Steering Angle Sensor Signal Timeout (Radar Sensor (Right))

1. Radar sensor system check

Refer to "75.Driver Assistance System 10W.Troubleshooting(Radar Sensor (Right)) Diagnostic system check-radar sensor system".

2. Current DTC check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Steering angle sensor inspection.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of radar sensor system.

Refer to "233.Driver Assistance System 46D.Symptom(Radar Sensor) intermittent conditions of radar sensor system".

3. Steering angle sensor inspection

1) Visually inspect the steering angle sensor. Is the result normal?

Yes

=>Go to Chassis CAN communication circuit inspection.

No

Repair or replace as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Chassis CAN communication circuit inspection

1) Inspect the Chassis CAN communication circuit between the radar sensor (Right) (pins 2 and 5 of R40) and the steering angle sensor (pins 2 and 3 of B33) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

Yes

=>Go to Steering angle sensor harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Steering angle sensor harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the steering angle sensor harness connector (pins 2 and 3 of B33). Is the connection status normal?

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor (Right) harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Radar sensor (Right) harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the radar sensor (Right) harness connector (pins 2 and 5 of R40). Is the connection status normal?

=>Go to Steering angle sensor replacement.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

7. Steering angle sensor replacement

Procedure completion

=>Go to Repair verification.

8. Current DTC follow-up check

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor (Right) replacement.

No

=>Go to Repair verification.

9. Radar sensor (Right) replacement

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9E.Instrumentation, Driver Info. radar sensor removal".

10. Repair verification

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.
