FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Seal board upper (See SEAL BOARD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Set plate (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Energy-absorbing form (See ENERGY-ABSORBING FORM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front under cover No.1 (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Bumper stiffener lower (See BUMPER STIFFENER LOWER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Charge air cooler (See CHARGE AIR COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

Caution

•  The front bumper reinforcement supports the radiator grille and the shroud panel. Before removing the front bumper reinforcement, always support the shroud panel using a floor jack and do not apply excessive load to the radiator grille and the shroud panel.

3.  Support the shroud panel using a floor jack.

Caution

•  To prevent the front bumper reinforcement from falling off, support the front bumper reinforcement by hand when removing the bolts.

4.  Remove bolts A and B.

5.  Remove the front bumper reinforcement.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
