Caution
•  When disconnecting the connector, verify that there is no looseness, damage, deformation, corrosion, or poor connection of the connector terminals.
•  When inspecting the DLC-2, touch it with a paper clip or similar thin pin without directly inserting a tester into the terminals.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-11 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUIT
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect connector C-11.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 14.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-49 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUIT
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect connector C-49.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Go to Step 5.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN BLUETOOTH UNIT AND CONNECTOR C-49 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at Bluetooth unit terminals Y and Z.
•  Is the voltage at Bluetooth unit terminals Y and Z the same?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-11 and connector C-49 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.

INSPECT CAN LINE IN BLUETOOTH UNIT FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Connect connector C-49.
•  Disconnect the Bluetooth unit connector.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the Bluetooth unit and connector C-49 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
No
Replace the Bluetooth unit because there is a short between circuits in the Bluetooth unit.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-46 AND DLC-2 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect connector C-46.
•  Verify the continuity between DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Repair or replace the wiring harness between DLC-2 and connector C-46 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT AND CONNECTOR C-46 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at climate control unit terminals 2E and 2G.
•  Is the voltage at climate control unit terminals 2E and 2G the same?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 8.

INSPECT CAN LINE IN CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Connect connector C-46.
•  Disconnect the climate control unit connector.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the climate control unit and connector C-46 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
No
Replace the climate control unit because there is a short between circuits in the climate control unit.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN AUDIO UNIT AND CONNECTOR C-46 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at audio unit terminals 1O and 1Q.
•  Is the voltage at audio unit terminals 1O and 1Q the same?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 10.

INSPECT CAN LINE IN AUDIO UNIT FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Connect connector C-46.
•  Disconnect the audio unit connector.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the audio unit and connector C-46 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
No
Replace the audio unit because there is a short between circuits in the audio unit.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN USB ADAPTER AND CONNECTOR C-46 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at USB adapter terminals 1L and 1K.
•  Is the voltage at audio unit terminals 1L and 1K the same?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 12.

INSPECT CAN LINE IN USB ADAPTER FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Connect connector C-46.
•  Disconnect the USB adapter connector.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the USB adapter and connector C-46 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
No
Replace the USB adapter because there is a short between circuits in the USB adapter.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND CONNECTOR C-46 FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at instrument cluster terminals 2C and 2E.
•  Is the voltage at instrument cluster terminals 2C and 2E the same?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-49 and connector C-46 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.

INSPECT CAN LINE IN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Connect connector C-46.
•  Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the instrument cluster and connector C-46 because the wiring harness is shorted between circuits.
No
Replace the instrument cluster because there is a short between circuits in the instrument cluster.

INSPECT CAN LINE IN MULTI INFORMATION DISPLAY/INFORMATION DISPLAY FOR SHORT BETWEEN CIRCUITS
•  Switch the ignition off.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Connect connector C-11.
•  Disconnect the multi information display/information display connector.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Switch the ignition ON.
•  Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K.
•  Is the voltage at DLC-2 terminals L and K the same?
Yes
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the multi information display/information display and connector C-11 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.
No
Replace the multi information display/information display because there is a short between circuits in the multi information display/information display.
