• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the BCM connector 1.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes

No

INSPECT BCM FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Switch the ignition off.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the BCM connector 2.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?
|
Yes
|
Replace the BCM because there is a short to the power supply in the BCM.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-17 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect connector C-17.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to Step 7.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN REAR VEHICLE MONITORING CONTROL MODULE (RH) AND CONNECTOR C-17 FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) terminals L and I.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the BCM and connector C-17 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN REAR VEHICLE MONITORING CONTROL MODULE (RH) AND CONNECTOR C-24 FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect connector C-24.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) terminals L and I.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-24 and connector C-17 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT REAR VEHICLE MONITORING CONTROL MODULE (RH) FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) terminals L and I.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) because the rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) is shorted to the power supply.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) and connector C-24 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.
|

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-43 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect connector C-43.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes

• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at AFS control module terminals B and A.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes

Go to Step 10.

No

INSPECT AFS CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the AFS control module connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at AFS control module terminals B and A (wiring harness side).
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the AFS control module because there is a short to the power supply in the AFS control module.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-43 and the AFS control module because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

INSPECT SAS CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Connect connector C-43.
• Disconnect the SAS control module.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the SAS control module because there is a short to the power supply in the SAS control module.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the SAS control module and connector C-17/C-43 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the keyless control module connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at keyless control module terminals 2K and 2L (wiring harness side).
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the keyless control module because there is a short to the power supply in the keyless control module.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-47 and the keyless control module because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.
|

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-47 AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at instrument cluster terminals 2B and 2D.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes

Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-43 and connector C-47 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at instrument cluster terminals 2B and 2D (wiring harness side).
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the instrument cluster because the instrument cluster is shorted to the power supply.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-47 and the instrument cluster because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-70 AND BCM FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Connect the BCM connector 1.
• Disconnect connector C-70.

• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes

Repair or replace the wiring harness between connector C-70 and the BCM because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

• Measure the following voltages:

INSPECT TCM FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the TCM connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the following voltages:
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the TCM because the TCM is shorted to the power supply.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the TCM and connector C-70 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-41 AND CONNRCTOR C-70 FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Connect connector C-70.
• Disconnect connector C-41.

• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the connector C-41 and connector C-70 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the following voltages:

INSPECT ABS HU/CM FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the ABS HU/CM connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at ABS HU/CM terminals H and L (wiring harness side).
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the ABS HU/CM because the ABS HU/CM is shorted to the power supply.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the ABS HU/CM and connector C-02/connector C-70 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

INSPECT CAN LINE BETWEEN CONNECTOR C-02 AND CONNRCTOR C-41 FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Connect connector C-41.
• Disconnect connector C-02.

• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at DLC-2 terminals E and F.

• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Disconnect the EHPAS control module connector.

• Measure the voltage at EHPAS control module terminals 2D and 2B (wiring harness side).
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes
|
Replace the EHPAS control module because the EHPAS control module is shorted to the power supply.
|
No
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the EHPAS control module and connector C-02/C-41 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.

INSPECT PCM FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• Connect connector C-02.
• Disconnect the PCM connector.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage at PCM terminals 1AE and 1AI (wiring harness side).
• Is the voltage between 1.5 - 3.5 V?

Yes

Replace the PCM because there is a short to the power supply in the PCM.

No

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the PCM and connector C-02 because the wiring harness is shorted to the power supply.
