1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Sunroof seaming welt (vehicles with sunroof)
(2)  A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)  Upper anchor of the front seat belt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(7)  B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(8)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(9)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(10)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(11)  Map light (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(12)  Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(13)  Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the roof wiring harness connector and remove the roof wiring harness connector clip from the body.

4.  Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Pinch the tab B using pincers, remove clips A and pin C.

6.  Remove the shock-absorbing pad in the direction of the arrow (1) and (2) while remove the tab D and E.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Sunroof seaming welt (vehicles with sunroof)
(2)  A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)  Upper anchor of the front seat belt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(7)  B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(8)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(9)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(10)  Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(11)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(12)  Map light (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the roof wiring harness connector and remove the roof wiring harness connector clip from the body.

4.  Disconnect the rear washer hose.

5.  Remove the headliner. (See HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Pinch the tab B using pincers, remove clips A and pin C.

7.  Remove the shock-absorbing pad in the direction of the arrow (1) and (2) while remove the tab D.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
