DTC P07B2[62] Parking Position Signal Mismatch (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. Wireless access module system check

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) Diagnostic system check-Wireless Access Module (Hi-version[Passive Entry and Start System])".

2. P/N position switch signal input check

1) Turn ON the ignition switch.

2) Observe the Parking/Neutral Detection Switch Input parameter on the scan tool while operating the selector lever. Does the Parking/Neutral Detection Switch Input parameter show ON when the selector lever is shifted to the P or N position, and OFF when shifted to a position other than P or N?

Yes

=>Go to Parking switch signal input check.

No (Does not turn ON in the P position)

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in P position signal circuit.

No (Does not turn ON in the N position)

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in N position signal circuit.

No (Does not turn ON in the P and N positions)

=>Go to P/N position switch signal circuit check using fused jumper wire.

3. P/N position switch signal circuit check using fused jumper wire

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

2) Disconnect the Fuse and Relay Box harness connector (C4).

3) Connect a fused jumper wire between the P/N position switch signal circuit of the Fuse and Relay Box harness connector (pin 11 of C4) and the battery power supply.

4) Observe the Parking/Neutral Detection Switch Input parameter on the scan tool. Does the Parking/Neutral Detection Switch Input parameter show ON?

Yes

=>Go to Fuse inspection.

No

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in P/N position switch signal circuit.

4. Inspection for open circuit in P/N position switch signal circuit

1) Inspect the P/N position switch signal circuit between the wireless access module (pin 28 of B14) and the Fuse and Relay Box (pin 11 of C4) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

Yes

=>Go to Wireless access module harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Fuse inspection

1) Inspect the BACK UP(IG1) 7.5A fuse. Is the result normal?

Yes

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in inhibitor switch power supply circuit.

No

Replace the fuse as necessary. If the fuse blows out again, repair the short to ground in the circuits relating to the fuse.

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Inspection for open circuit in inhibitor switch power supply circuit

1) Inspect the power supply circuit between the BACK UP(IG1) 7.5A fuse and the inhibitor switch (pin 2 of E41) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

7. Inspection for open circuit in inhibitor switch signal circuit

1) Inspect the P position signal circuit between the inhibitor switch (pin 6 of E41) and the Fuse and Relay Box (pin 3 of C96) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

2) Inspect the N position signal circuit between the inhibitor switch (pin 9 of E41) and the Fuse and Relay Box (pin 1 of C96) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

Yes

8. Inspection for open circuit in P position signal circuit

1) Inspect the P position signal circuit between the inhibitor switch (pin 6 of E41) and the Fuse and Relay Box (pin 3 of C96) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

9. Inspection for open circuit in N position signal circuit

1) Inspect the N position signal circuit between the inhibitor switch (pin 9 of E41) and the Fuse and Relay Box (pin 1 of C96) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

10. Parking switch signal input check

1) Observe the Parking Position Input parameter on the scan tool while operating the selector lever. Does the Parking Position Input parameter show ON when the selector lever is shifted to the P position, and OFF when shifted to a position other than P?

Yes

Go to Intermittent conditions of wireless access module.

No

=>Go to Parking switch signal input check using fused jumper wire.

11. Parking switch signal input check using fused jumper wire

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

2) Disconnect the selector lever harness connector (C72).

3) Connect a fused jumper wire between the parking switch signal circuit and the ground circuit of the selector lever harness connector (pins 2 and 7 of C72).

4) Turn ON the ignition switch.

5) Observe the Parking Position Input parameter on the scan tool. Does the Parking Position Input parameter show ON when the fused jumper wire is connected and OFF when disconnected?

Yes

No

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in parking switch signal circuit.

12. Inspection for open circuit in parking switch signal circuit

1) Inspect the signal circuit between the wireless access module (pin 24 of B14) and the parking switch (pin 2 of C72) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

2) Inspect the ground circuit between the parking switch (pin 7 of C72) and the body ground for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

13. Inhibitor switch harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the inhibitor switch harness connector (pins 2, 6, and 9 of E41). Is the connection status normal?

14. Inhibitor switch inspection

1) Inspect the installation status of the inhibitor switch. Is the result normal?

Yes

Replace the inhibitor switch.

1) Inspect for poor connections at the selector lever harness connector (pins 2 and 7 of C72). Is the connection status normal?
