• Perform the DTC inspection for the dash-electrical supply unit using the M-MDS.

Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting and perform the repair completion verification.

No

Go to the next step.

INSPECT AIR FILTER FOR CLOGGING
• Is the air filter clogged?

Yes

Replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

No

VERIFY BLOWER MOTOR OPERATION
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
• Set the airflow volume control switch to MAX.
• Does the blower motor rotate?

Yes

No

VERIFY AIRFLOW CONDITION
• Set the airflow mode to VENT mode.
• Turn the A/C switch off.
• Set the airflow volume control switch to MAX.
• Does sufficient air flow from the vents when the airflow mode is in VENT mode?

Yes

No
|
Go to Step 7.

VERIFY AIRFLOW CONDITION
• Set the airflow mode to HEAT mode.
• Turn the A/C switch off.
• Set the airflow volume control switch to MAX.
• Does sufficient air flow from the vents when the airflow mode is in HEAT mode?

Yes

No

Go to Step 7.

VERIFY AIRFLOW CONDITION
• Set the airflow mode to DEFROSTER mode.
• Turn the A/C switch off.
• Set the airflow volume control switch to MAX.
• Does sufficient air flow from the vents when the airflow mode is in DEFROSTER mode?

Yes

Go to Step 9.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY DUCT INSTALLATION CONDITION
• Is the duct under any of the following conditions? Clogging Deformation Air leakage Poor installation

No
|
After securely installing the duct to the correct position, perform the repair completion verification.

VERIFY AIRFLOW MODE LINK OPERATION
• Remove the airflow mode actuator.
• Verify the operation by manually operating the airflow mode link.
• Does the airflow mode link operate smoothly?

Yes
|
Replace the A/C unit because there is a malfunction in the airflow mode door, and go to the repair completion verification.
|
No
|
Replace the airflow mode link and perform the repair completion verification.
|

VERIFY EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
• Inspect the applicable parts.
• Is the part normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification.

VERIFY THAT MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM DOES NOT RECUR AFTER REPAIR
• Does air flow from the vents while in each airflow mode?

Yes

Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
