FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)]

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Lift up the vehicle.

3.  Remove front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Lower the vehicle.

6.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

(2)  Intake air guide (See INTAKE AIR GUIDE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Front combination light (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Caution

•  After removing the front bumper reinforcement, the parts supporting the shroud panel are removed, and an excessive load is applied to the shroud panel, which could result in damage. When removing the front bumper reinforcement, use a floor jack to support the shroud panel.

7.  Support the shroud panel using a floor jack.

8.  Remove the bolts.

Caution

•  If all the installation bolts for the front bumper reinforcement are removed without supporting the front bumper reinforcement, the front bumper reinforcement may fall and be damaged. Remove the front bumper reinforcement using two people, one person supports the front bumper reinforcement.

9.  Remove the bolts and remove the front bumper reinforcement.

1.  Remove the fasteners.

2.  Move the energy-absorbing foam in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the guide.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

11.  Perform the headlight aiming adjustment. (See HEADLIGHT AIMING [(E)].)

12.  Perform the 360°view monitor system aiming. (With 360°view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM AIMING.)

13.  Perform the front radar sensor/front side radar sensor aiming. (With front side radar sensor) (See FRONT RADAR SENSOR/FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING.)

14.  Perform the front radar sensor aiming. (Without front side radar sensor) (See FRONT RADAR SENSOR AIMING.)
