TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)]

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Rear pillar trim (See REAR PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  When replacing the tire house trim (LH), perform the following procedure.

(1)  Remove the rear buckle (LH). (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Remove the rear center seat belt anchor. (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Partially peel back the cabin side weatherstrip.

6.  Move the tire house trim in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and remove it while removing the clips, guides, pins and tabs. (With side air bag module for rear passenger)

7.  Move the tire house trim in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and remove it while removing the clips, guides, and tabs. (Without side air bag module for rear passenger)

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
