ANTENNA FEEDER NO.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)]

Replacement parts

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front map light (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

(2)  Sensor cover (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front pillar trim (See FRONT PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Roof side trim (See ROOF SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Trunk side upper trim (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9)  Rear pillar trim (See REAR PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(10)  Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the bolts.

4.  Partially peel back the cabin side weatherstrip.

5.  Move the headliner in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the surface fasteners from the sunroof unit. (with sunroof system)

6.  Slide the headliner in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove the clips from the headliner.

7.  Move the headliner in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and place it on the front and rear seats.

8.  Remove the clips from the roof panel.

9.  Remove the bolt.

10.  Disconnect the connectors and remove the wiring harness clips A and B.

11.  Disconnect the rear washer hose E from the rear washer nozzle.

12.  Disconnect rear washer hose E from joint pipe D.

13.  Partially peel the liftgate grommets in the direction of the arrows shown in the figures, and remove the liftgate grommets from the inner liftgate grommets.

14.  While pressing the inner liftgate grommet tab in the order of arrows (1) and (2) using the remover tool, remove each inner liftgate grommet from the liftgate and the body. (See Liftgate Grommet Installation Note.)

15.  Remove antenna feeder No.1.

16.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Headliner Installation Note.)

Headliner Installation Note

1.  Before installing the headliner, attach the clips to it.

Liftgate Grommet Installation Note

1.  Install the liftgate grommet using the following procedure.

(1)  Engage a new inner liftgate grommet as shown in the figure.

Caution

•  Once the inner liftgate grommet has been removed it cannot be reinstalled securely, which could result in water leakage. Always replace the inner liftgate grommet with a new one if it has been removed once.

(2)  Install the inner liftgate grommet to the liftgate grommet.

Caution

•  Install the inner liftgate grommet so that there is no gap between the liftgate grommet and the inner liftgate grommet. Otherwise, it may cause water leakage.

(3)  Move the inner liftgate grommet in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and engage the inner liftgate grommet tabs on the liftgate side.

Caution

•  After installing the liftgate grommet, shake the inner liftgate grommet to verify that the tabs are securely engaged.
