CHARGE LID BOX ASSEMBLY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Open the charge lid.

2.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the following parts.

(1)  Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk side upper trim (RH) (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Bass-box (Vehicles with Bose^®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Scuff plate (RH) (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Tire house trim (RH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

(9)  Trunk side trim (RH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the connector.

5.  Remove the clips.

6.  Apply protective tape to the location shown in the figure to prevent scratches or damage.

7.  Using a remover tool, detach the charge lid box tabs from the body.

8.  Move the charge lid box in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, and remove the tabs of the charge lid box from the body. (See Charge Lid Box Installation Note)

9.  Move the charge lid box in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure, and remove the charge lid box while disconnecting the short cord and opener cable.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Charge Lid Box Installation Note

1.  Install the charge lid box.

2.  Press the shaded area of the charge lid box shown in the figure, and fit the dust cover to the charge port.
