DTC P138C

Air bypass valve position sensor minimum/maximum stop

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM learns the air bypass valve position based on the air bypass valve position sensor signal. If the learning value of the air bypass valve position is under any of the following conditions, the PCM determines that there is a malfunction in the air bypass valve position sensor signal.
―  Difference between the initial value of the air bypass valve position exceeds 55 %
―  Difference between the latest air bypass valve position exceeds 13 %
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  EGR valve base value reset procedure improperly
•  EGR throttle valve base value reset procedure improperly
•  Air bypass valve stuck in open or closed position
•  Air bypass valve position sensor malfunction
•  Air bypass valve actuator malfunction
•  PCM malfunction
