BONNET RELEASE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

L.H.D.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Set plate (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Fresh-air duct installation bolt (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

(3)  Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Intake air guide (See INTAKE AIR GUIDE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front combination light (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Horn (See HORN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Shroud upper member (See SHROUD UPPER MEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Front mudguard (Driver's side) (See MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9)  Bonnet latch protector (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(10)  Bonnet release lever (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the bonnet release cable from the bonnet latch.

4.  Remove the bonnet release cable from clip.

5.  Press the grommet into the cabin side.

6.  Remove the bonnet release cable from the cabin side.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

(3)  Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Intake air guide (See INTAKE AIR GUIDE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Front combination light (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Shroud upper member (See SHROUD UPPER MEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Front mudguard (Driver's side) (See MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Bonnet latch protector (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9)  Bonnet release lever (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the bonnet release cable from the bonnet latch.

4.  Remove the bonnet release cable from clip A and clip B.

5.  Press the grommet into the cabin side.

6.  Remove the bonnet release cable from the cabin side.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
