DESCRIPTION

Rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) power supply circuit malfunction

DETECTION CONDITION
•  Rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) power supply circuit voltage is above 16 V.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  PCM DTC is stored (charging system malfunction)
•  Battery malfunction
•  Generator malfunction
•  Rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH) malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

INSPECTION

ACTION

CONFIRM PCM DTC
•  Switch the ignition to off.
•  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT BATTERY CONDITION
•  Is there any malfunction?
Yes
Replace the battery, then go to Step 4.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT GENERATOR
•  Is there any malfunction?
Yes
Replace the generator, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
•  Reconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Clear the DTC using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition to ON and wait for 1.5 s or more.
•  Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the rear vehicle monitoring control module (RH), then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
