DTC B1905[00] Knee Airbag Circuit Activated(Crash) (Air Bag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Roof/Knee/Far Side))

1. SRS system check

Refer to "58.SRS Control 8A.Troubleshooting(Air Bag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Roof/Knee/Far Side)) diagnostic system check-SRS controls".

2. Airbag check

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.

2) Check whether the airbag has deployed. Has the airbag deployed?

Yes

Refer to the inspection standards at the time of repair, and replace SRS system components as necessary after a frontal collision accompanied by airbag deployment.

Refer to "209.Restraints 22B.Maintenance Information introduction to the trouble diagnosis of restraint".

=>Go to SRS system component replacement.

No

=>Go to Vehicle inspection.

3. Vehicle inspection

1) Inspect for damage or deformation caused by a collision in the following. Is the result normal?

  • Deformation of steering column and bracket
  • Tilting operation malfunction
  • Deformation, bending, cracks, or other damage to the steering support bracket
  • Deformation, bending, cracks, or other damage to the instrument panel bracket
  • Deformation, bending, cracks, or other damage to the front airbag sensor installation section
  • Damage to the seat belt and installation section

Yes

Refer to the inspection standards at the time of repair, and replace SRS system components as necessary.

Refer to "209.Restraints 22B.Maintenance Information introduction to the trouble diagnosis of restraint".

=>Go to SRS system component replacement.

No

=>Go to SRS control unit replacement.

4. SRS system component replacement

6. Repair verification

1) Reconnect all of the disconnected harness connectors.

2) Perform a test drive.

3) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
