REAR DRAIN HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Set the wheel blocks for both the front and rear wheels (without electric parking brake).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].) 3. Shift the selector lever from the P position to the D position (ATX).
4. Remove the following parts:
- (1) Sunroof seaming welt (See SUNROOF UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (2) A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (3) Sunvisor (See SUNVISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (4) Front map light (dual light type) (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (5) Assist handle (See ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (6) Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (7) Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (8) B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (9) Adjust anchor cover (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (10) Upper anchor installation bolt on the seat belt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5. Set the trunk side trim aside.
6. Disconnect the rear drain hose from the sunroof frame.
7. Spread the hooks in the directions of arrows (1), pull the rear drain hose in the direction of arrow (2), and remove it from the hooks.
8. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure, then remove the grommet in the direction of arrow (3).
9. Remove the rear drain hose.
10. Install in the reverse order of removal.

5. Set the trunk side trim aside. (RH only)
6. Disconnect the rear drain hose from the sunroof frame.
7. Spread hooks A in the directions of arrows (1), pull the rear drain hose in the direction of arrow (2), and remove it from hooks A.
8. Remove the front drain hose in the direction of arrow (3) from hook B. (LH)
9. Spread hook B in the directions of arrows (4), pull the rear drain hose in the direction of arrow (5), and remove it from hook B. (RH)
10. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure, then remove the grommet in the direction of arrow (6).
11. Remove the rear drain hose.
12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
