LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Driver-side

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Driver-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Bonnet release lever (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Partially peel back the seaming welt.

4.  Remove the bolt.

5.  Move the driver-side lower panel in the order of arrows (1), (2) and (3) shown in the figure, and detach hook, clips, tab, and guide.

6.  Disconnect the connectors and remove wiring harness clips A and B.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note

•  When replacing the driver-side lower panel, remove the following parts:

1.  Pocket light (with pocket light) (See POCKET LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Cluster switch (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Trunk lid opener switch (with trunk lid opener switch) (See TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Center

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Bonnet release lever (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Driver-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Driver-side lower panel (See Driver-side.)

(7)  Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9)  Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Move the center lower panel in the order of arrows (1), (2) while detach clips A and B.

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Passenger-side

Removal

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Partially peel back the seaming welt.

4.  Remove the screws.

5.  Remove the bolts.

6.  Move the passenger-side lower panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the figure, and detach the clips, hook, tab, and guide from the dashboard.

Installation

1.  Move the passenger-side lower panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) and (4) shown in the figure, and attach the clips, hook, tab, and guide to the dashboard.

2.  Assemble the passenger-side lower panel to the dashboard and tighten the bolts and screws temporarily.

3.  Install the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Measure the gaps between the glove compartment and the passenger-side lower panel and verify that the measured value is within the standard value.

•  If not within the nominal value, move the passenger-side lower panel and adjust the installation position.

5.  Remove the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Tighten the bolts and screws completely.

7.  Install the following parts:

(1)  Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

1.  Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.
